What are custom in-ear monitors?

In-ear monitors made from impressions of your own ears. The shell follows the shape of your ear canal, so it shuts out the noise around you (up to -35 dB on every Soundz model) and stays in place while you play. Soundz designs and builds them in its own lab in Greece, with 2 to 10 Sonion balanced armature drivers per side.

How is a Soundz pair made?

Your ear impressions are modelled digitally. Each shell is 3D-printed in biocompatible resin, fitted with Sonion balanced armature drivers and checked by hand at every stage. The Our Lab page shows each step.

Which model is right for me?

Future (3 drivers) was developed with Gus G for electric guitarists. Dream (8 drivers) was developed with Latin Grammy-winning drummer Miguel Lamas. Avant (10 drivers) is our flagship. Flame (8 drivers) switches between a warm, musical sound and a neutral studio sound. Wave (7 drivers) covers live, studio and home listening. Dune (6 drivers) is built for the stage. Are there universal versions?

Yes. Most models also come in a universal fit, with ear tips instead of a shell made from your ears. They ship in 1 to 5 working days.

Ordering and delivery

How do I order?

Choose a model and design it in the online configurator. Then have your ear impressions taken at a Soundz partner hearing centre or by an audiologist, following the Soundz impression guide, and send them to us.

Where do I get ear impressions taken?

At a Soundz partner hearing centre or at an audiologist near you. They are taken with your mouth open on a bite block, as the Soundz impression guide describes.

How long does it take?

We make custom products in 10 to 15 working days from the day we receive your ear impressions. Universal products and accessories ship in 1 to 5 working days.

Can I return custom in-ears?

No, because they are made for your ears only. Universal in-ear monitors can be returned within 15 days, unused and in their packaging.

Warranty, care and service

What warranty do I get?

2 years in Greece and the rest of the EU. Outside the EU, 12 months, plus 12 more with SoundzCare. If an earpiece doesn’t fit, we refit or remake it within 60 days. Soundz earplugs have a 2-year warranty.

What is SoundzCare?

An extra plan for custom in-ear monitors, added in the configurator when you order. For 2 years it covers unlimited repairs of damage from wax or moisture, one repair after heavy damage to the shells, faceplates, internal parts or drivers, and one cable replacement. Outside the EU it also adds 12 months to the warranty. More about SoundzCare.

How do I look after my in-ears?

Clean them after each use, keep them in their case and have them cleaned and checked every 6 months. If the sound gets weaker or distorted, change the wax protection filters first.

How do I get my in-ears serviced?

Open a service ticket in the Soundz app, then drop the in-ears off at our Athens showroom or send them to the lab by courier. You follow every step in the app and can ask for a loaner pair while yours are with us. Please don’t send anything before you open a ticket. How service works.

Do you repair or reshell other brands?

Yes. Our lab cleans, repairs and makes new shells (reshell) for in-ears of other brands too.
